Four newly appointed to WofA Board of TrusteesWomen of Asphalt (WofA) is excited and proud to announce the appointment of Abbey Bryduck, Melissa Dunham, Talia Flagan, and Janelle Rabine to its Board of Trustees. ABBEY BRYDUCKAbbey Bryduck is the Executive Director of the Minnesota Asphalt Pavement Association since 2018. She oversees the operations of the association as well as lobbies at the state and federal level. MAPA represents asphalt producers and contractors in Minnesota, both in the public and commercial/residential sectors. Before MAPA, Abbey was the Governmental Affairs and Highway/Heavy Construction Director at the Associated General Contractors, where she led efforts to advocate for transportation funding, contractual issues, and road safety measures, as well as working on workforce inclusion and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBE). Previous to this, she was the Transportation and Infrastructure Policy Analyst at the Association of Minnesota Counties (AMC), and Minnesota House Committee Administrator for the Transportation Policy and Finance Committees. Legislative accomplishments include passing the sales tax and wheelage tax option for county transportation funding, the 2008 Transportation Bill (Chapter 152), the first new road funding for 20 years, and supporting the response to the 35W Bridge Collapse at the legislature. Abbey holds a BA from the University of MN, Duluth, an MBA in International Business from Kaplan University, and a Master of Arts in Political Science from University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill.
MELISSA DUNHAM, MBAMelissa Dunham has over a decade of experience in construction operations and currently serves as a Construction Manager at Colas USA. She is a recognized leader within the company’s Operations Network, playing a strategic role in driving construction excellence and consistency across its projects nationwide. Based in Hampton Roads, Virginia, her career has centered on delivering large-scale infrastructure projects critical to the region. Her portfolio includes significant contributions to high-profile projects such as the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel expansion and the Lesner Bridge Replacement. She also served as the project lead for the award-winning Chambers Field project, which earned the Golden Lute Award from the Virginia Asphalt Association. Melissa holds an Executive MBA from William & Mary and a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from Michigan Technological University. She resides in Hampton Roads with her family, enjoys playing tennis, and is an active advocate for building stronger, more connected communities.
TALIA FLAGANTalia Flagan is Production Manager for the Pacific Region of Martin Marietta, facilitating production and operational excellence across California. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Geological Engineering from Montana Tech and an MBA from Boise State University. Talia has 18 years in the Construction Materials industry holding positions across the United States in multiple business lines and technical role. She enjoys promoting the industry to stakeholders across the spectrum and looks forward to encouraging more women to join.
JANELLE RABINEJanelle Rabine is the President of Rabine Group, a group of facilities maintenance companies including a national paving company and 5 self-performing paving companies located in Illinois, Maryland and Texas. She has held many roles within the family-operated businesses. Most recent of these was as President of Rabine Paving America which is a commercial paving company focusing on project management and consulting for large parking lot owners across the U.S. Janelle is an active Board Member of Women Road Builders, an organization based in the Chicagoland area dedicated to improving the industry through education, professional development, and relationship building to empower women. Janelle lives in Chicago with her husband, dog, and a baby on the way.
